my bf and i broke up bc he was going to college far away
he called me after drinking and told me he misses me like crazy &i am always stuck in his head &he hasnt done anyhting with other girls bc he just cant. he thoguht college was a time to focus on himself but now he realizes the perfect team we made..but he didnt make any actual action to reunite us
all along i agreed--ive missed him SO much but the breakup was his decision so i didnt force my perspective.
heres the thing.. he was drunk when he called.. also he said "ill call u tomorrow"... but 3 days have gone by &he has not called me back.. i believe the things he says (he gets more honest when drunk).. but i know he is reluctant to take me back.. (we had problems leading to the breakup)
here are my questions ..pick the one(s) u want to answer.. 1)what is going on here? 2)why hasnt he called back? 3) what do i do to stop TALKING about getting back together and actually DOING it?

yes, he has called when sober.. and he calls to check up on me .. he is a sweet guy.. we have had these conversations while sober as well... but he is alwyas just talking talking talking.. never doing anyhting proactive about the situation!!

he is probulary embrassed!! try calling him and see what he says! can you make a date to meet for lunch or dinner?

I broke up with my boyfriend when I went to college, and the first year I called him a lot, then the second year not so much after I discovered other men. I just grew apart from him, my ideals and opinions changed. I guess what I am trying to say is that he was drunk and lonely and had memories of good times in the past, but probably won't call again until he is drunk. Move on, it will be easier for both of you.

sounds like my ex!! we dated for a year and I left him. he called me drunk plenty of times, crying, telling me how much he missed me and that he wants to try again. One night he called around 1 a.m. and left a voicemail saying that if I didnt call him back in 5 minutes he was going to drive off the cliff. I called the next morning and he answered. So much for that! Anyways...does he call you when he's sober and tells you all that? If not, then he needs to stay away from phones when he's drinking. Oh yeah, a lot of honesty comes out of a person when they are drunk. I found out a lot.

1.People get emotional when they are drunk.
2.He does not remember even calling.
3.You just move on and date other people and don't get caught up in the hole deal of just dating one person, in time the feeling will go away.
