I agree. It is always a shame when someone of that age dies, but I don't know him, wasn't a fan, and wish people would stop jumping on bandwagons proclaiming their grief.

Everyone has a right to show their last respects to Steve and his family. This is a place they can do this by asking questions and answer. Everyone has a different way of showing remorse, but if it is negative I think they should keep it to them self and at least show some respect.
Just like when Elvis died tho whole world was devastated. No neither of these men were god, but well known and loved very much.
A lot of people are in mourning for Steve. It`s sad that some people say he dead who cares and to get a life......So sad!!!
The world will get past all of this, but give people time to get over the loss.
If people are tired of seeing the post about him, there are alot of other post to read and post to. Just stop reading what your tired of.

Boy are you lost. Steve Irwin's shows were some of the most popular in the world. The question should be who doesnt' care that he died and that's you and a handful of other people. He did a lot for wildlife education and preservation and entertained millions of people. What have you done that's so great other than be cynical and nasty towards a great guy.

You f***in' sorry excuse for a S.O.B.!!! Your question is rude, tasteless, and shows how extremely pathetic you are. I've never even heard of the guy who you claim did more than Steve Irwin. I've watched his show for years and do dislike people who never liked him to be really upset about it. I can name at least three people who care: his wife and two children. Of course, you're way to pathetic to understand what it would be like to lose a family member you love because you clearly don't have a heart. Also everyone who worked with him, especially his best mate, Wes, will miss a great boss and friend. How many employees have such a close relationship with their bosses? So next time someone you loathe dies, keep your stupid mouth shut because someone somewhere cares about him or her. The prime minister of Australia even offered to give him a state funeral! What have you done in your pathetic existence that would make YOU deserve a state funeral or any recognition of the government of any nation. You have no business asking such a shallow derogatory question. You f***in' SUCK!!!!!

A lot of people cared about him and appreciated him...
I'm gonna be honest, I never thought about Steve Irwin that much. But every time I saw him, it always made me smile and laugh. I never thought anything bad was going to happen to him - he was just that crazy cool Australian croc guy to me. I knew he risked his life every day, but he always seemed to have everything under control - so when he died it shocked and saddened me. I didn't expect it. I actually found out about it on here, and I started tearing up when I found out it was true... I was watching some documentaries on The Animal Planet yesterday - and he was just such a freaking WONDERFUL person, he was fcuking awesome. No words describe how lovely a person he was...I feel terrible for his wife & children, the rest of his family and his friends...Steve was truly one in a kind, and he's going to be greatly missed by all. I'll never forget him.

Steve Irwin was a very wonderful stand up man! He was not only a huge conservationist, but he also (with his wife) backed foundations for lukemia and other human diseases and causes. This wasn't just a man who jumped around wrestling Crocs and snakes! He was into teaching everyone he came across about all animals and how to treat them with respect. He was also a loving father, and husband. I am sure other family members thought of him as a son, brother, uncle, nephew and some called him friend.
So who are you to say "who cares, he is dead". If you DON'T Care, then don't look at things regarding him! Personally, I think you did this all for reaction. You got one ok! LOTS of people CARE ABOUT STEVE IRWIN and his family. Lots of people looked up to him and felt he was a person they wanted to be like. Shame on whoever says "Who cares".

I think this is a great tribute to him. He was a wonderful guy. Yea he did do Crazy stuff But he really taught me to treat these animals with respect. I think U are wrong for criticizing people to talking about him. He is a nice guy and I learned a lot from him. Plus he did a lot for Wildlife. He Helped animals all over and he will rest in Peace. He has a lot of fans that will miss him SO GET A LIFE. Probably most of the people on here liked him. Plus what I am hearing everybody say on the news is it was a freak acccident. ALl he was doing was swimming with these animals and accidently startled one. Mistakes happen. He should be remember for what he did to Help the wildlife not how he died.

You are not a nice person. Many people grew up watching and supporting Steve Irwin. He had the guts to do things that not many people would even consider doing. At least he can say he lived every day of his life to the fullest and does not regret one day of it.

He was very entertaining, with lots of enthusiam and a great passion for what he did. He loved animals of all kinds. He also cared a great deal about educating the world not only about the different animals but also the dangers each animal species faced in the wild. He wanted to help preserve endangered species.
Mini biography
Steve Irwin was born in 1962 to parents Lyn and Bob Irwin, who were animal naturalists. He has shared the love for animals all his life, stemming from being raised at the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park. There, he partook in daily duties of animal feeding and care. He quickly established himself with the Queenland's government on the process of the country's Crocodile Relocation Program, in which the reptiles could be transferred and relocated to proper localties in the most absolute humane, non-tranquilizing manner. He frequently implements the non-tranquilizing factor in his televison show "Croc Files" (1999). To date, Steve can claim that he has never been bitten by a venomous snake, despite his bare-hand handling of some of the most deadliest snakes in the world. Steve has been married to fellow naturalist, Terri Irwin (Baines) since 1992. She joins him in his adventures and efforts in almost every episode of his show. They have one daughter Bindi Sue Irwin who was born July 24, 1998.

Steve Irwin was a "celebrity" in his own right. The reason I put celebrity in quotes is because he was an animal rights activist and someone who helped rescue animals. He had his own tv show and a movie which made him famous in the U.S. He was a big name, but he hadn't really done much, that I can think of, in the last few years and it was a surprise to everyone in the world that he died because of a stingray.
