No, teacher really put me down. But, in second grade there was a notoriously mean teacher that I got. She was very, very cold to her students. If a student wasn't able to find something like a pencil or paper in their desk, the teacher would dump their desk completely out onto the floor. Then the student had to pick up every item and the desk and put it all together in front of the whole class! Those desks were heavy by the way! This happened to me once, and it was very traumatic. I think today it would be considered abuse because she threw the desks on the floor rather roughly, and would berate the children in a very harsh way.
Anyway, I don't know if this was the answer you were looking for but I needed to get that off my chest after all these years!

Don't bother trying to go to college. Kids that can't do dummy math end up being janitors and kitchen ladies.
Kid you not! I still struggle a great deal with algebra (beyond Alg II forget it!), but carry a dang near perfect GPA. It took 20 years to work up the guts to enroll. Wish I had done it sooner!

Well, I was allowed to skip second grade in elementary school until the teacher said something. I was one of the brightest students in her class and she told me, "I would let you skip this grade, and there is room, but you are too immature." She let another student skip second grade but not me. Till this day, the other student is still maturing.

Derogatory things said to me by teachers:
"Go ask someone else; I'm busy."
"I don't know, look it up."
"Why do you care?"
"That is a question suitable for someone lesser than I."
"Are you just here to make my life miserable?"
... and the list goes on and on... :(
