What you should do is, take the hard drive out of the old P333 machine, set the hard drive's jumper to "slave" (instead of "master") and then put it in the new AMD machine right along with the AMD machine's hard drive. When you boot the AMD machine it should be able to see both hard drives.

If you are installing it as the master hard drive on your new comp then you will almost defintely have to reinstall windows. If you are installing it as a slave and you already have windows xp on the master hard drive of the new comp then all you need to do is make sure the jumpers on the back of your hard drives (those little pins with a piece of plastic covering two of them) are set properly.

A computer that old may or may not be plug and plan. If it is using Windows 98, you may luck out.
