I like your question, but boy there are some BAD answers here. We only have middle aged white men elected president because that is the kind of people running the parties. Until women, and all the other minorities demand their place and voice it will never change.

In the first place, there is no "US Presidency" to be "at War with Women" - there are only Presidents and I doubt any of them were "at war" with women.
You're overdramatizing; try to lighten up a bit - you'll be happier, I promise!

actually two women made a serious run for the presidency. shirley chisholm (a black woman!) and geraldine ferraro . professor angela davis (my personal favorite) ran several times, but as a communist candidate she stood less than a snowball's chance...etc.

The last woman to try & run was Carol Mosley-Braun a Democrat from IL in 2004. Thankfully she's no longer in the Senate!

I believe the only woman to run for a major party's nomination so far was Elizabeth Dole and her only qualification was being Bob Dole's wife.

cause no qualified woman has run yet when mondale picked ferraro it was as bad as bush picking quayle the only woman i think even remotely qualified is conde rice
