No not yet.....

Steve Irwin was videotaped pulling a poisonous stingray barb from his chest moments before losing consciousness forever, a witness said Tuesday.

The tape of the final moments Monday of the man known by TV audiences worldwide for his infectious enthusiasm in hosting wildlife program "The Crocodile Hunter" has been secured by Queensland state police as evidence for a coroner's inquiry.

Irwin, 44, was shooting footage for a new wildlife project he was making with daughter Bindi, 8, for airing next year in the United States when he was fatally wounded off the north Queensland coast.

Irwin's manager and producer John Stainton described the footage, which he had seen, as "shocking."

"It shows that Steve came over the top of the ray and the tail came up, and spiked him here (in the chest), and he pulled it out and the next minute he's gone," Stainton told reporters in the city of Cairns where Irwin's body was taken for an autopsy.

"That was it. The cameraman had to shut down," Stainton added.

"This is just unbelievable," Nigel Marven, a well-known wildlife specialist who was a longtime friend of Irwin's, told CBS News correspondent Mark Phillips. "It's not the venom of the stingray. What happened was, because these things have got eight-inch spines, it must have lashed its tail and it was almost like he was knifed into the heart."

That's what we call morbid curiousity. I understand... I'm sure there are a lot of people who would like to see the video. It'll surface at some point, just be patient.

I was horrified to hear that Steve Irwin died, and knowing what he was doing at the time of his death, I immediately wondered if he died on camera. I'm sorry to hear that he did. He was absolutely a public figure, but his death is an international tragedy, and I can't believe that he'd want his death made public. At the same time, human curiousity is incredibly powerful. That footage will eventually come to light for all those who want to see it.

I feel terrible for his family, and send them all of my best wishes in their time of grief.

You are a sicko!! He was a great person. Why would you want to see him die?????? He worked for a real company who will not release the footage to the black market!! Imagine if you were his kids?? Just let the poor man rest in peace!!

And even if he'd left the barb in he would have died! So don't blame him!!

That wasn't a nice thing to say to the girl. Besides, I'm curious, too. I heard that he lived long enough to remove the barb, then went into cardiac arrest. I think seeing a video like that would be educational.

The news have said it will never be shown but these things have a habit of being leaked out. It is a very sick thing to want to watch but I guess some people do. At some point it will be about I guess, his poor family.

The barb went into his heart, and he wrenched it out, which he should'nt have, because thats what ripped up his heart, and sh*t, I wouldnt want to watch that.
