Any CD that was made whether it have music or just documents, the computer responds 'Please insert a CDRom into..." It doesn't do this with other kind. It used to read all CDs just fine but lately I have been having problems what could it be?

It isn't only one CD i tried several Cds including ones that have worked before. Regular CDs work fine

- try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaner.
- is it only just this -one- burnt CD? may not be burnt properly
- how about regular CDs? if that breaks too, the drive is bricked.

Incompatible CDR media, malfunctioning CD burner or CD-ROM drive.

your computer may be old, I had that problem in a '99 Toyota that I had.
