Long enough to shave, shower and change into new wedding clothes after returning from court.

Any shorter than that, I would consider in bad taste.

I don't think that you can put an exact number on how long... I personally was single for 6 years as I did not want to get remarried and divorced again.... but I would say not to get into a relationship for about a year... make sure you are over the person before trying to bring someone new in.

why do u think time is so important after divorce?why should u stay single when u don't know if youre ex is haveing somebody or not,maybe he will go to another woman just when he go out of the court door,so i ask u why do u think so?it's not a rule to be single after divorce,and in the first line you have youre own life and u diserve to live youre life no matter what happen........

I think that is dependant on the person. My first husband asked me for a divorce. He moved out in August and I was dating someone by December just before the divorce was finalized. It was definately a rebound thing, but it was extremley important in helping me get past the hurt and feel that I was desirable and was going to be OK.

People should be single for as long as possible, or forever, whether they're divorced or not. But if getting divorced isn't enough to convince you that marriage doesn't work, I guess you'll do it again anway.

For as long as it suits them. I was dating within weeks of the separation, the divorce wasn't even final for another year and a half.

i'm not divorced yet!been seperated nearly 5 years,been with my soulmate for 4 and a half years now!

At least a year but dont make hasty decisions wait until you feel the times right and you will know when the times right.
