My husband and i dont want children yet, but he came in me for the fist time when i was on my period all 5 days. It wasnt a normal period. my periods are always normal and this one was very not normal. it was like spotting for 2 days then it was a like a period but not quite it and then spotting and then the 5th day nothing. so i could be pregnant but the thing i want t know is .....how doo i calculate how far long i am? do i go by the first day of my last real normal period or what, please help. thanx

yes u go by the first day of the last normal period.
1. If not normal, then take the dates of the first day of the last 3 monthly periods normal or not. 2. check the urine preg test at home kit. 3. recheck after a month. bleeding or not. 4.get the doc/RN check the size of the womb uterus, for growth during that month. 5. if u dont want the preg, get it out before 11 week baby age.

It sounds like to me that you are probably not pregnant. Even though your period was not like the rest you still did bleed for several days and then the spotting. Sometimes with stress our bodies change their routine. So there may be times that your period is not normal but as long as you do have days that you bleed then you are okay. Call your doctor if you need to to feel better.

lol...im 17 and didnt want to become pregnant either....i figured even while using a condom on my period would protect me obviously not... my period was normal for the first few days and then the day i got pregnant (clinically proven in my case) my period had gone from moderate to pink...so i would take a test...i thought nothing about it...and when the next month came, i hadnt even waited for my period to come late...the day it was due i took and test that showed "pregnant" and took another one that showed the same....to be extra cautious take all messures as if you were pregnant (drinking, smoking, any drugs)

You can get a reading 9 days after your last missed period.

why dont you see if you are pregnant first then you can take it from there...it is possible it wasnt you period you had but imlpantation but get the test before jumping to conclusions
