I don't think politeness is something you fake. Being polite means you don't curse, yell or scream at another person even when that person isn't being very nice or polite to you. It means you grant a person the right to have his or her believes about something. It doesn't mean you have to agree with the person. But the fact that you don't agree with the person can be expressed in an civil manner. I work at a daycare center and some parents can be damn right rude, thoughtless and offensive. That doesn't mean I act the same towards them, but I explain politely why I happen to disagree.

If it is a customer service job, you should always be polite. The employer will want people who can be polite to the customers even when the customers aren't reciprocating. If this is a management job, that is where it gets iffy. The employer will want someone who can delegate and lead, which entails some situations where you can't sugarcoat. But, you should be able to delegate politely. So, safest bet, is say you can always be polite. Good luck with the job hunt!

Sorry, but I do not understand what you are asking. Politeness IS fake, thankfully...and it is kind! Only small children blurt out the whole truth, painful as it may be. I would far prefer to be fake and polite than to be blunt and rude. Trust me, you will make no friends with absolute truth, even when it is asked of you. People tend to lie about wanting the truth. They really want THEIR truths, not yours. Good luck

I'd agree with it because if you're rude it'll come out sooner or later you can only put on a false front for so long before you go mad and tell them all to shove their rotten job up their crusty decaying..... you get the picture.

What? Is it asking whether you can fake being polite? If you're honest, we all do it! Otherwise we'd be rude to a LOT of people every day! God bless!

Sure I fake it - just look at all the answers on Yahoo Answers. You may not feel like smiling at me when I order my McKangeroo, but you had better.
