The sound comes from the muffler. Dosent matter if you have single or dual exhaust. You can put a flow master on a single exhaust car. Just be careful if you want to try to put a dual exhaust on your car. most cars have heat shields where the mufflers and catalitic converters are supposed to be. If you add or change location of them it may cause a fire without proper heat shielding

It will sound like ****. Get get a H pipe then run two pipes to where it's connected to the flowmaster you will only need one Flowmaster not 2. You will have 2 pipes coming out of the the Flowmaster. It will sound awesome. It's a real good thing that it's not a 6 banger. Then it would really sound like ****. Trust me that's what you should do. Or else go to a Muffler Shop they will give you good advice on how it will sound.

Just remember, if you do a dual exhaust, put and x- or h-pipe to connect the two so they can scavenge off of each other. It will help the airflow alot by creating a vacuum at the cross pipe. Otherwise, you'd really have two singled off four bangers instead of a dual V-8 without the cross pipe.

No. I have 3" performance mufflers in the single exhaust on both my '03 Dodge Van and my '89 Dodge Diplomat. Dual exhaust was designed purely to reduce engine back pressure. Exhaust tone is largely determined by the muffler design, not the number of exhaust pipes.

Dual exhaust is the best for sound, you'll have to get the one that is designed for your vehicle.
