If it's always hummed, don't worry about it. If the humming is new, it's probably either the CPU fan or the fan in the power supply. Either will require opening the case to diagnose/repair the problem. I'd suggest contacting a professional unless you can get a computer-savvy friend to help you out.

Many newer computers generate a lot of heat so they now have pretty powerful fans and usually more than one.
Without a more descriptive hum sound I would say that it is probably just the cooling fans doing their thing.

It relies upon, in case you have it on overclocking you may might desire to bypass into the BIOS and take a inspect changing some settings. which would be extremely confusing in case you do not probably understand what you're doing and can bring about extra issues. try turning off the swap for the potential furnish at the back of the computing device for awhile to allow for extra cooling. stable good fortune!

depends on the system model.it could be the processor fan or if u have the latest dimension 5150 or 9150 u might have a prob with the media card bay.its not a major problem though and can be fixed easily.just get in touch with dell tech support.

most common cause is dust the in the fans.
u would just clean this with damp cloth. or vac cleaner.
or could be something more serious a problem with the power supply. i would open the case up and locate. if its the power supply just buy a new 1 dont try and fix it.

Have you contacted Dell customer service?
I have a 3 yr old Dell & it is very quiet. I did have to replace the fan recently however as it died on me. It was a breeze to switch out!

how loud is it?
It might be a dying fan. If it's not too loud, its just normal fan sounds and mechanical movement
