I got off the pill June 28th, and a few days later had my period July 2-5th. Today is Aug. 5th and still no period. I took a urine test today, and it was negative, at the clinic, they also did a blood test, and I get results tomorrow. Has anyone ever taken a pee test one day and it was negative, and their blood test was positive the very same day? I do have signs, my breasts are tender and I have a lot of gas. Let me know if you have had this happen to you

After getting off the pill it takes a while to have your period back to normal. I quit my pill on March 13, had a very light period on March 18 for a couple of days, then it took me 6 weeks to get another period, I finally had a period on MAY 3rd right before I had that period I felt as if i was pregnant I could have sworn I was pregnant, I took a test and it was negative, i was very surprised because I thought I was pregnant but the test was right, I was not pregnant. Anyway, I got pregnant on May. Your body has to regulate, that is why you have not had your period, you have to give it time. Our bodies react differently after we get off the pill that is why you have the symptoms you have, it is normal. Now a days blood tests and HPT's are as accurate, they both now detect the same amounts of hcg so unless you were testing too early which i doubt it, your blood test might be negative too. I'd say give it some time, your period might be showing up any time now!

Urine test not accurate very early in pregnancy - blood test is. However, your symptoms could just be the results of your body adjusting to being off the pill - especially if you were on it for a long time. It's not uncommon for some women to have very irregular periods after stopping the pill.

yes the pee test can be neg and the blood be pos.. the blood test is a better method of testing than the pee test you can find out sooner with the blood test and the "signs" you are having is the signs i get when im fixin to start.. so either you are or you arent and you might be stressin your self which will cause you period to be late..

Urine test is not 100% accurate. Go by the blood test.

Yes..it happened to me. The levels of hormone in my urine just weren't high enough to detect on the home test but they found it in my blood test when I went in later that day.

After coming off the pill your periods are going to be irregular for a while..typicall 3 months. If your period were irregular before going on birth control then they will again be irregular.
