At school in my science class my teacher gives instructions and reads through worksheets with us. Everyone says they understand what has to be done. How is it that half of the class end up doing something they shouldn't,ruining it for those of us who do? Is it just my school?

When you retire, you will still be asking that question, albeit about everyone not just teenagers.

Only about 70% of people think, and of them about 50% don't do a good job of it.

It's world wide young man.

Just look at the opportunities that give YOU and forget the Muppet's.

Think about it!

The reason why I got out of regular College Prep classes and into Honors/AP ones. It's nice to be around people who use their cerebral mass. Or even just know what that means.

Maybe college will be better.

...I blame our educational system. It caters to the below average intelligence levels, so those who are above that never have to try. I say that the educational standards are raised dramatically albeit gradually and let the ones who will try rise to the top and those who were going to end up working a $6.50 job at McDonald's anyways, do that and stop wasting everyone else's time. And let's not forget that No Child Left Behind act that only encourages education superficially.

No some teenagers don't think. It happened many times in my high school science classes. Teens sometimes just don't pay attention or take notes on instructions. I'm glad students in college pay more attention in labs.

Well that's at every school. Some students don't want to be embarrassed because they don't understand the simple stuff and since they don't step up and say I don't understand because they're afraid that they'll get made fun of/laughed at. Just try and ignore it and try to work around this.

Its the same at my school. Basically people do it because they just want the teacher to shut up so they can talk about 'whats on tv tonight' or 'did you watch the football at the weekend'.

yeah they think, just not most of the time. lol. some people don't understand things, misunderstand them, don't pay attention, are afraid to ask questions or are just plain dumb. and it's DEFINITELY NOT just your school. it's all over.
