You'll get use to it. Once you get into the "flow", you'll have plenty of time to make friends. After the first week, kids won't be allowed to change classes and you won't have such a large influx in classmates. You'll learn your way around and by the 3rd week. You won't be getting lost at all.

Good luck tomorrow!

Chill!

Life would be fun once you have a nice group of friends. And like there must be more ppl in the same predicament?

Of course its a change, but apart from sympathy, I can't offer you anything, and I wonder if you even want sympathy. Like, give it time, and give yourself time to settle down.

Gettig lost? Make sure you know some landmarks (Cafeteria, principal's office, the libraries etc.) and start exploring a little every day. No matter how large the school,3-4 days are enuf to get a sense of direction?

And don't lose yourself in studies. School is not about studies , Of course you are here to do more than just study. Have fun. People usually wish for school days to come back gain, once they are out in real life. Have as much fun as you can. That's the only advice I can offer.

Trust me you will be okay. We all go through this process. It is tough to adjust to change. I am pretty confident you will make a lot of new friends in your classes just give it time. When you look back your senior year you will laugh at the way you feel today. I moved when I was in junior high and I did not know one person. I was so scared, but eventually I joined a couple of sports teams and clubs and I made some new friends. Give it time and before you know it you will have a lot of friends and having a blast in high school. If your friend is making friends they will eventually be your friends.

Don't worry, it all won't mean much soon after you leave that place. It just seems like a big deal because you have to be there everyday, and you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon enough, those people will all be faded memories, and then you can begin living life.

Relax.
You freaking out doesn't help, only does things seem worse.
Don't expect people to immediately be friends with you.
Give them time to know you and for you to know them.
If you comment about how you lost yourself, people will come to your aid, you'll see.
And to prevent that from happening again, draw a mental map of some "landmarks".
Example: the trees are closer to the cafeteria then of the school offices.
You'll be just fine.
Some months from now you'll remember and laugh.

First off breathe. It's going to be okay. Focus on where you need to be as far as where everything is. The issue of friends will fall into place later (once you've relaxed). You'll get the hang of the bell and changing classes. This is the best time of your life. Enjoy it.

Sorry - but it does get better if you hang in there. The best advice is to join anything that interests you. Drama, civics, art, band. That gives you the openings to people who are like you. That is the reason they have these activities. It does get better, but high school is horrible for everyone - even the #1 most popular kid,

Buckle down and do it. It is a long 4 years but only if you look at it that way. The school has much more to offer than you realize, give it a chance.

DONT YELL Its annoying. Don't worry you only a freshman and high school doesnt really even matter after you graduate so dont sweat the small stuff. What happens in high school is really insignificant in life.
