Prescott Bush, just like almost every major US corporation was busy making money helping to rebuild Germany after WW1, and that meant the infrastructure and industries.
FDR had arranged some sweet deals with Germany to allow businesses and banks to operate and invest there without the risk of losing those investments to nationalization. If you question Prescott Bush's involvment you'd have to question that of every other banker, and teh Chairmen of GE, Ford, GM, Grumman, and every other corporation who did business in Germany during that period.
But since you mentioned Prescott Bush, how about the other bankers that did business with Germany when the NAZI party was in power? Why don't you mention the other bankers by name?

This is absolutely correct. Prescott Sheldon Bush was also found to have violated the "Trading With The Enemies Act," and it was *during* the WWII period that this occured, not *afterward.* PSB was on the board of Brown Harriman, a financial group, not unlike the current Carlyle Group, that was in bed with Fritz Thyssen, a Nazi industrialist and personal friend of Third Reich potentates, who was waist deep with I.G. Farben Corporation, the company that allegedly manufactured Zyklon-B.
As for the lame-o excuse that "PSB was GWB's grandfather," one must remember apples never fall far from the tree. Bush 41 had more than a big toe stuck re: John F. Kennedy due to his ongoing work with the CIA during that period, and there is a good reason he wants all the records kept classified.
That family is the greatest continuing criminal enterprise in the history of the United States, and probably the world itself.
