It is an omen.... be very careful for the rest of this month...practice safe sex only, for bloody feathers have a deep sexual meaning, and it is not a good one. Throughout history, the sight of bloody pigeons has resulted in a case of syph within weeks....take heed.
Do you really think that an injured, dying pigeon would be worth risking your life to help? I think you did the right thing by moving on. Never stop to mess with something like this, it could be you flapping about after a car hits you. I strongly suspect I value your life far more than I do that pigeon's..which was already dead....just moving.

maybe? at least it is out of it's misery. despite what people think of pidgeons, they are still birds with feelings. it is animal cruelty to harm them. i it was me, i would feel really bad, but if i went back and saw it dead, i would feel better. some things are best left alone to sort themselves out! if it was a cat/ dog etc i would have taken it to the vet. don't feel bad.

ahhhh! don't feel bad. if you would have moved it. it might have went back out into the road. or, since it was injured some other animal would get it. it's the cycle of life -----unfortunately.

No its a rat with wings.

Running it over when you first seen it would have been the best option!
