My fiance and I are registering for gifts and I want him to be able to register for tools and such too, but Sears (the place with Craftsman tools) doesn't seem to be a great place to register for my things. Is Target or Home Depot ok for tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. They don't seem to have any real popular name brand stuff.

Amazon.com has an extensive selection of tools at vert competitive prices. They also have an online wedding gift registry. My daughter used it for her wedding and many people used it.

Good luck with your wedding.

If you shop online, then go to ClubShop.com

They have a ton of places to get tools and it's cheaper to go through them then the actual store. They do cash back rebates on all order in their online mall. They have Home Depot, Sears, Ace Hardware, Northern Tool, etc. Also, Home Depot has a registery and that would be a perfect match for what you're looking for.

Home Depot/Lowes carry a full line of tools that are good quality. When I got married, we registered for a bunch of stuff at lowes, it was great to get something besides dishes.

As far as popular brand names, home depot and lowes carry Dewalt,Makita,Skil,Stanley etc..

We registered at Amazon.com - through their affiliates, they carry pretty much any tool you'd likely want.
