A State funeral has been offered to the family for him.
I have not heard if this has been accepted by the family as yet.
I just heard that maybe later today we will learn if this has been accepted
His wife and children have not been seen since they returned home from Tasmania.
They are still too traumatised as the rest of the world is.

They are considering a State funeral in Australia, which is a pretty big thing, so I have a feeling it will be. I hope they do. I'd like to tune in to pay my respects. Like Princess Di and others around the globe who've really made a difference for certain causes, it helps people to really connect and to get closure. The environment lost a great advocate and I hope we all will work to carry on what he put into action. Great man!

I would think not in this country. Really, you are all making WAY more out of this than you should. Thousands of people have died over the past few days around the globe. He was but one of them. He was not a god, just a man. Please don't try and turn him into some icon. We will all die one day. Peace to his family, now for the umpteeth time, let's move on. There is a lot to be done in this life. Life is for the living, not the dead. Period.
