I refuse to be in any relationship where the word "allow" is instituted.

I think most guys would agree with this point of view...
Of course we would let our wife/gf to look at Playgirl or the like.
Many women have a hangup about it however. Here's the thing though -- 99%+ men check out other women regardless of whether or not they are in a relationship. Most of those men will look at pictures of naked women whether or not their significant other (SO) approves and/or knows about it.
As far as insecurities and how founded they are or are not go, I can only speak for myself, but if your guy is a decent, moral person generally in other parts of his life, he probably is when it comes to fidelity too.
How would I feel if my SO told me it was okay for me to look at erotica? I would think that was wonderful for her to offer. It would deepen my love for her. Since I am not inclined to cheat, period, it wouldn't make me less inclined to cheat, but it would make me less inclined to leave her. It shows that you are being generous. Overall, this would be a very minor issue. I have thrown away my Playboy collection twice for women. I resented it, but not enough to interfere.
If you decide to give the go-ahead, and feel comfortable sharing with him, there is one thing that you should NEVER do. Do NOT ask him to compare the models with you. It doesn't matter how good-looking or butt-ugly you are, it just screams "I am soooo insecure." And even if you are the most beautiful woman in the world to him, he will usually like looking at a variety of women. It is just the way we are wired, but it doesn't mean ANYTHING in relation to how good looking he finds you. In the case that he does actually think the models are more beautiful, you always have to remember that beauty is only skin deep and any guy worth your time will inherently know that. If he is with you, it is probably because he loves YOU.
So I say, be as generous as you can and reap the rewards of a grateful turned-on man that loves you.
Oh and make sure you concentrate on other parts of the relationship like a healthy financial communication and system and sharing of responsibilities.

I had girl friends that looked and didn't look. It never much bothered me for those that did. If it had turned into an obsession, then I might have reacted otherwise.
If I were dating someone that didn't want me to look at porn, I would respect her wishes. Some women find it degrading. I do not. But, out of consideration for her feelings, I would give it up. Moreover, I would not find such a request as controlling behavior. I would choose a GOOD relationship over continuing to look at porn.
HOWEVER, if her request were among a long list of other issues about my behaviour, then I would just get the hell out of the relationship.

I see no problems with it. It may turn them on which in fact makes it good for you in the end. Both my partner and I look together and read the stories to each other. It make for great fantasizing. The more openness you have in a relationship the better you both will be.

I think as long as it's just looking there is no harm in it, within reason. I think it's human nature to find other members of the human race attractive, it's if it crosses the line beyond looking it's a problem.

It has never happened but i wouldn't have a problem. What is the worst thing that can happen that they fantasize, they probably do that sometimes when we are in bed, which is the diference they are with me not with the person in the magazine. I get all the goodies.

No. The exception to that rule is if we are looking at it together. Then it can be kind of fun. ;)
