Witch Hazel ALWAYS made my skin break out. So did Noxema.
The best thing you can do is to wash your face every morning and every night before bed (without fail).
When my oil was at its worst, I kept a bottle of Alcohol-Free toner in my locker to use in between classes, or you can use Olay daily face wipes --
I know it doesn't make much sense, but it is really important that the product that you use NOT contain alcohol. Even if it cleans your skin, it will over-dry it and your skin will not only be red and irritated, but the natural sloughing off of your skin won't occur, and the extra skin cells that remain on your skin will clog your pores and cause more breakouts!
The most important thing is keeping your skin clean, but you have to be sure not to over-dry it in the process.
Good Luck!

If it's doing that to your skin stop using it. You might be allergic to one of the ingredients. Also make sure you don't overwash your face. If you do it too frequently your skin produces more oil. I used to have the same problem and what I did (and still have to do) is every morning I use a cream cleanser in the shower then an astringent (I use clean and clear) that gets rid of any dirt or oil that got missed then use a lotion. At night I use a facial cloth and the lotion. My skin cleared up in about 2 weeks or so and it's been clear since and also not nearly as oily. Good luck! I know how awful this can be!

I hear ya! Im going to sound like a commercial but i was shocked at how well proactive worked for me, and people really did notice and comment. Its a couple minutes in the am and pm. Now that my skins clear i dont wear makeup as in foundation everyday, it just ends up accenting pores. But when i want/need full coverage the newer mousse photo-ready etc are nice. My mum said moisturize, you cant start too early and its just not true that if you have oily skin moisturizing makes it worse. Just use oil free cream/lotion etc I found a product by Nivea that has..I dont know what to call it. Its not like a tinited cream half foundation half lotion. Its Niva Beauty..for when you want '\/ need a little more than moisturizer but dont want to look made up or are in need of foundation and i love it. It gives me a soft natural rosey glow while moisturizing and uv protection. They have a exfoliating cleaner that has the same consistency as pro-actives scrub, uber fine and doesnt irritate your skin. And a under eye cream with that same natural rosey glow and eyes looked well rested and bright

If you're breaking out after a few days of use, chances are you're allergic or sensitive to the soap. I'd suggest switching to another brand, making sure it says "non-comedogenic", which means it doesn't clog pores.
You can also talk to a dermatologist to get a recommendation on a good brand. I actually just saw one, and she recommended Cetaphil. It's over the counter, and you can get it at any drugstore. There's more than one type, so you can use one that specifies for oily skin.
Hope this helps! Good luck! :)

Get Stridex Triple Action Pads. (You might be allergic to the active ingredients in what you WERE using, STOP using it immediately)
Make-up may help, I would say try it during the weekend so you don't end up having something messy on your face in the middle of class.

stop using it. you're probably allergic or have sensitive skin. if you still keep breaking out, go to a dermatologist before you do any more damage to your skin. good luck!

Just go to school with those huge red pimples on your face. It is good to be unique.
