Check for Salsa and Latin Nightclub Dance classes at your local community College, Universities and Public Libraries, Parks and Recreation Departments and Community Centers.
I've danced in all of these locations.

Go to a dance studio. Sound like you know exactly what kind of salsa you're looking for. Just go to a studio, take a class and see for yourself. Sorry, I'm not from Austin, I can't be of more help.
