I would suggest either a sexy dress or flirty top and skirt, it is casual dressy - not too formal, more like business casual (but fun!). A lot of businessmen and families visit the Melting Pot depending on where in the country you are going.
I went in downtown Minneapolis and had an awesome time, and is really romantic with just 2! I wore a sexy top and dressy black pants since it was winter.

we have been to the one in nashville many times, there is no dress code, we wore hawaiian shirts and nice shorts. altho we have also seen people in tuxes and formals(prom night) and people in bib overalls. the one in nashville is just a couple of blocks from music row, just dress comfortably, as you will be there a while.
we always get "the big night out" which includes(well this is what we get, but it has these courses) start out with the cheddar fondue for the appetizer, the chefs salad, the lobster indulgence, and for the dessert you can have your pick of any of the chocolate fondues, we always get the ying and yang, which is 1/2 dark chocolate/1/2 white chocolate fondue. it says the "strawberry salad" but they will do substitutions.

My mom and some of my friends both went there...wear like a really nice shirt, a flirty skirt, and probably a shawl to drape over your shoulders...nothing too fancy, its not a ball...wear something way more casual than to say, a wedding party, but way more formal than to say, well i don't know, not as nice of a restaurant! I'd say probably not pants unless they are really nice, and not a dress, its not that formal there.

Oh my gosh! Be ready to be swept off of your feet! This place is so romantic. It takes about 4 hours to eat (there's a show in between) and it's a four course meal. Expensive too. He must really love you!
I would wear something nice...don't overdo your wardrobe to the point that you feel uncomfortable. I would say a nice top, dress pants, and some strappy sandals??

I have been to melting pot in the Chicago area several times. i would not wear anything less than business casual meaning kakies and a nice shirt. or you can dress up and wear a cocktail dress. i have seen all kinds there but rarely jeans.

Anything you want. They are flexible. Jeans and a cute top with the right jewerly is ok.
It's not THAT upscale. It's really good and takes FOREVER to eat there. You will have a good time. Don't eat lunch that day or you won't be able to eat all the yummy food.
