Well the 2 are not the same -
Lebanon allows an internationally known group of terrorist make government policies and allowed terrorist to do a border crossing to kidnap soldiers - and then made ludicrous demands.. Israel warned them with attacks if the soldiers weren't released and the Lebanese PM did nothing to release them. In turn the Israeli's were nice enough to drop warning leaflets to the innocent civilians - those who decided to stay in the name of Hezbollah got what they deserved.
Iraq was justified up until the point where no weapons of mass destruction could be found. And from that point on, it has been a disaster ever since.
There will be peace in the middle east 1 day - it will either happen thru nuclear warfare or when the arabs will realize that allowing terrorist to run their countries is not what serves their best interest, which might include civil wars....

There hasn't been a war against the country of Lebanon any time recently.
And there have been two Iraq wars recently. The one against Saddam's regime, that ended with "Mission Accomplished" and the occupation of Iraq afterwards which is an entirely different situation.
I have no opinion on deposing Saddam. That's a political and military decision. I think remaining there for years afterwards is a foolish stupid fatal mistake.

Specifically or in general? I think the lebonan war was because of intense hatred on both sides. The Iraq war was one of money and personal interest.
