..!! x = 12!!

u just have to plug it in and see if it is correct:

12 + 9 (3 * 12 +4) - 56 = 56

12 + 9(40) - 56 = 56

12 + 360 - 56 = 56

316 does not equal 56.... so x does not = 12!!!

now, if u are just solving for x (w/o that x = 12 thing):

12 + 9(3x+4) - 56 = 56

12 + 27x + 36 - 56 = 56

27 x = 64

x = 64/27

this is to see if 12 is the correct answer, just plug 12 in wherever you see x.

12+9[3(12)+4]-56=56
12+9[36+4]-56=56
21[36+4]-56=56
756+84-56=56
784=56

since this is not true, x does not =12. that is all you had to do.

12 + 9(3x+4)-56=56
9(3x+4)=56+56-12
27x + 36=100
27x=100 - 36
x=64 / 27
x=2

That's without your x=12
With that, you dont really have to solve for x because you already said x equals 12.

if you solve the second equation x turns out to be 2,37
according to the first one as you say X=12
the two of them are irrelevant
