MAYBE Mars. It is a "rock," like the Earth, and apparently has water ice and other familiar elements.

Jupiter is a huge, cold ball of liquid gas - a "sun" that was not big enough to start burning - so I don't know why or how anyone could live there. Maybe on one of its moons, which are more like the Earth in size and composition.

Also, Jupiter is farther - much farther - away. It might take two years to get to Mars but five to seven to get to Jupiter. And again, that neighborhood is much, much colder.

We also have no practical way to sustain humans for a trip there and back at this point. Mars or Jupiter.

I'm giving grossly broad and simple generalizations, but that's a start.

Mars, yes. Jupiter - no - gravity too intense, and its a sea of liquid methane at cryogenic temperatures with waves a 1,000 feet high. On one of its moons maybe, but not Jupiter itself.

Mars, perhaps. I don't think I'd want to, though.
