The Israeli government says it plans to build 700 new homes in two settlement blocs in the occupied West Bank. It is the biggest expansion of Jewish settlements to be announced since the government came to office in May.The Israeli government froze a controversial project to link Maale Adumim to east Jerusalem following sharp American criticism. About 240,000 Jewish settlers and 2.4 million Palestinians live in the West Bank. The settlements are deemed illegal under international law, although Israel disputes this.

So, if people don't want to be in war with Israel, stop attacking them. Why is that so difficulty to grasp? Well, Helloooooooo, if your neighbor keeps Stealing land, u don't want to attack? How ironic.

Poor poor answers. Some of us have been around long enough witness a bad track israeli record. You just don't understand that land grabbing is part of the problem and not part of the solution. We are all pretty much fed up with 40 years of lame excuses where Israel has tried everything but give the Palestinians a country.

Israel never ended its military occupation of the Gaza Strip, even though it ended its colonization. Under international law, even though Israel unilaterally withdrew its troops and settlements temporarily from Gaza in 2005, Israel continues to have obligations as an occupying power in Gaza because of its almost complete control over Gaza's borders, sea and air space, tax revenue, utilities and the internal economy of Gaza. At a minimum, Israel continues to be responsible for the basic welfare of the Palestinian population in Gaza, in particular the health, educational, and humanitarian needs of the population to the extent these are affected by the restrictions imposed on Gaza by Israel. Israel continued its control and occupation of Gaza from outside the land, and from the air and sea. The International Federation of Human Rights Leagues: "In effect the Palestinian people have been subjected to economic sanctions -- the first time that an occupied people have been so treated".
