Causes of slavery:

In 1618, the Dutch introduced America to slavery however until the late 1600s, slavery was not too common due to the large amounts of indentured servants.

In the late 1600s, when the cost of paying voyage for the indentured servants skyrocketed, slavery began to become more common.

Slavery was used as a means to do the work of lazy, white men who thought that plowing or working on the plantation was below them.

The Constitution of the United States of America is all about liberty and freedom for EVERYONE, however one can note that slavery was accepted as what was right especially in the south.

in 1600 the didn't have tractors and they had to harvest and tend crops so the cause of slavery was money. It didn't have any thing to do with the white man being lazy. Black slaves were treated much better than the Chinese who built the railroads and who were not slaves. a black slave was worth a lot. They could replace Chinaman at no cost
