Ah, God bless spark notes. It's a great book, by the way. Krakauer is a frequent contributor to "Outside" magazine and one heck of a writer.

I thought it was a fascinating book, especially since I read it at the same time as Touching My Father's Soul by Jamling Norgay (http://www.amazon.com/Touching-My-Fathers-Soul-Everest/dp/B000H2MD7E/sr=1-1/qid=1157487047/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-5811695-0577746?ie=UTF8&s=books). Norgay was part of the IMAX team that was filming on Everest when the disaster occurred, and he helped with the rescue efforts. They eventually made it into an IMAX film called Everest (http://www.amazon.com/Everest-Large-Format-Greg-MacGillivray/dp/B00001U0E2/ref=pd_sim_b_2/102-5811695-0577746?ie=UTF8), which is available on DVD. It contains an extended interview with Beck Weathers, who comes across as an amazing man.

If the test isn't for a while, read the book. It's a real "page turner," in that you really get involved and it goes by fast.
