I'd especially like to hear from those who do denounce her.

I just started reading one of her books; this is my first time reading ANYTHING by her. I do find that sometimes I disagree with her (she's WAAAAAAAAAAY over to the right), but other times, I find more than just a glimmer of truth in her words. Not only that, but her sources are credible.
So why do so many people talk bad about her, and make false claims against her?

plus fute has a good point. Sometimes Coulter does come across as...well, a bit much. But does that mean that people should accuse her of being a transvestite? That's a bit much, I think.

I own well over six hundred books, all of which I've read at least once. I've read a LOT of trash. The book I'm reading now is NOT trash.
Where is the evidence that she plagiarized? Sources?

It is not true that all church-goers were Democrats. I do know something of political history. I never said I completely agreed with Ann Coulter, and I am not as uneducated as some would believe, thank you very much.

She is a bit right for me but I like her books because she does point out some interesting realities.

No one I know, or perhaps would even want to be in the same room as, would even think about talking ill of the 9/11 widows. But if you live in or around NYC they were ubiquitous and trying to impose themselves into every political decision, because they are the "widows". And yes, they did enjoy the publicity that brought upon them, and yes looking back not much of what they weighed in on was relevant.

Look at Ground Zero. Yes it was a tragedy. Yes it changed the USA forever. Yes the people who died should not be forgotten. But why does that give anyone the right to have a say in how private property used. If the building owner chooses to make a monument, fine. But dictating the terms of that monument is out of bounds.

So yeah, she may be out of bounds. But her ultraconservative viewpoint can sometimes be the impetus to look at a situation from a different direction.

Since those few quotes you mention are all that the liberals squawk about I'll venture to guess that they never read the book either but just heard about it on TV.

Yes. I have. The little glimmers of truth which you refer to are what make her so dangerous. They are half-truths (if that). Her sources are credible but every message is rhetorical, the facts are spun in a manner to make liberals look like they worship the government instead of a God.

This is not true. Many liberals are religious christians that beleive the government is about as far away from God as you can get, so they don't want the Gov't interfering with religion. And these liberals believe in the Constitution which bans legislation on religion.

I skimmed over her book about Bill Clinton once...but I think she's a right-wing lunatic. She says that the 9/11 widows were happy that their husbands died? What is this woman on? She's just like that guy Prothero in V FOR VENDETTA: "Godlessness. Let me say that again. Godlessness!" And she says all terrorists are Muslims (all TERRORISTS are MUSLIMS, not vice versa *whew*). Okay, let me get this straight---in her mind, if a person is (or was) a terrorist, they're Muslim? Was Tim McVeigh a Muslim? Was the Unabomber a Muslim? Get real, lady!

I'm sure the haven't. The whiners just like to whine because they heard someone say that her book was no good, or she said something they didn't agree with. It's typical...liberals are interested in symbolism while conservatives are interested in substance.

Because that's politics.

If you make fun of a political party or side.. like Ann Coulter does.. the other side will undoubtably fight back. It's the same with her, Michael Moore, Air America, Fox, etc...

It's just how it is. I've never read her books, but I don't like her. Never read Michael Moore's books either.. I don't like him. I don't like it when people get that closed minded that they think their party is always right.

I've considered checking it out at the library, if they carry it. I would never consider purchasing her books. So no, I have not, as yet, read her propoganda.

Why do so many people speak negatively of her? Because she speaks negatively of those who do not share her opinion or lifestyle. I watched a video of her lecturing at some random University where the student body *gasp* had the gall to question some of her prior out-there statements. When she came to a certain individual, she addressed him as "gay boy" and quickly dismissed anything he had to say. She's just an outright name-calling brat, so why not treat her as such?

If you say things like "Canada is lucky that we allow them to exist"

***apparently you arent familiar with hyperbole, and have clearly never read anything she wrote, save what was on dailykommiess or udergroundmorlockdemocrats

and you accuse four World Trade Center widows of enjoying their husbands' deaths, well, why should I waste my time and money?

***they did enjoy their jusbands deaths, so that they could run around and make political comments. once you step into the public realm like that you are no longer off limits, although it is a favrite liberal tactic to put up on display people that you cant argue against, like murtha, cleland, sheehan, and the four harpies.

she plagiarized,,,,
***this is a non-issue, and only kooks believe it. how many ways can you write out a fact. everything is sources outright, and it was on like 2 sentences... which were different. if they have to pick on stuff like that, then you know that rest of the book is right and they cant refute it, just that shes plagiarized, its so pathetic

ROFLMAO!
Thanks, I needed a good laugh. 95% of the people that criticize anything in here (Ann Coulter, Christianity, Republicans, the Constitution) have never read any source material (her books, the Bible, the Constitution, etc.) and don't have a clue what they're speaking about.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice this and point it out.

Most liberals never research anything. They just jump to conclusions based on what they hear from a few liberal news sources. That's why the Democratic party has such an easy time manipulating them.

God bless the Internet! It's the only way most conservative ideas can be heard. Go on liberals - look, research, read. There are two sides to every issue.

Because silly only left wingers are allowed to write books and gain any credibility for it.

They also have a monopoly on patting each other on the back for having the idea to do something, but not actually doing anything about it.

I'm not advocating A.C., but let's clear something up. She was not implying that the 9/11 wives actually enjoyed that their husbands died, she was pointing out that they enjoyed the fame that they are receiving, and that they are using said fame to promote political ideas and once you "throw your hat in the ring" by announcing political ideas, those ideas are up to debate. Liberals love to use human political shields to voice their ideas and then call someone evil for dis-agreeing with them. No-one is denying that the wives deserved sympathy for their loss, but that does not give them a pass and being able to announce an un-arguable opinion on political matters.
