i have dark skin,good facial features with a long nose ,long face.
should i get thick frames, thin frames, or no frames at all(casual)
note:colored contacts make me look livelier coupled with a great hair cut.
the optician never tells me the right stuff- whic is why i am asking you
sensible answers only pleeeeeeeez

It would be better for you to take a friend with you (who has good taste) and get their opinion. The opticians will tell you that you look best in the most expenses frames, always. Additionally, find how many days you have to exchange your frames after you buy them. Most places will allow you to exchange them, this will allow you to get other responses.

Usually you are allowed to try frames before actually choosing one. Bring a friend whose judgement you trust to help you choose or just use the mirror in the shop and pick one you thin 'works' for you. I think Lenscrafters let you wear the frames for a day on a trial basis , maybe you could try that.

If you can wear contacts, why the glasses? Try on several samples of frames. Pick two or three you like best, then ask the clerk and a few customers their opinion.

well generally if you have a more rounded or oval face you should get more square frames, and if you have a more square face you should get more round or oval glasses.
i think red would be a cute color though.
and i dont really know about the thickness of the frames.
probably not super thick glasses.
maybe inbetween.

I was told to go by the bottom line of the lens. Go with either more rectangular shape at the bottom or a curved shape depending on your face shape/eye socket

Go try some on! Get what YOU feel pretty in! There are so many options, its really hard to tell for sure without trying them. I know you will look good in them!

I wear both. I have colored lenses which I wear 90% of the time and my 'sexy specs' from SEE optical, a division specialty division of DOC.

Most people will think that is the way you look in glasses,period.
