You don't give any details on the topic, what kind of help you need or how long you have to take to give the speech.

So -- here goes:

If you are using slides or Powerpoint -- never have more than five points per slide and keep the number of slides to a minimum. You don't want people reading along -- use them as talking points. You should put in the details.

There are three phases to a good speech.

1. Tell them what you are going to tell them.

2. Tell them what you are telling them.

3. Tell them what you told them.

This sounds flippant, but I am serious. One slide setting it up.
Three to five slides giving them the details. One slide with an executive summary.

Need a topic? Baseball is always good. Two things that are sure to get a rise: 1. The designated hitter rule. 2. Interleague play.

Good luck.

Some nervousness is good,

Practice it in front of the mirror,

If you use your outline...use your outline because otherwise you will look like a dork trying to find your place when you need to find your place.

Humor is always good. If you can be conversational...go for that.

Relax.
