My sister has an aching pain in her stomach. She compares it to having contractions. Sometimes it can cause her to thorw up. She is not pregnant. Her period is very irregular and painful. She has had a few cysts, that the doctor said was related to being on the patch for a long period of time. She is on the pill now. She smokes. I know that she has had sonograms, exams, and tested to see if she was pregnant. Does anyone have any ideas?

Most probably Gastritis, or Peptic ulcer.

Listen between the cysts, the contraction like pains, the throwing up, the irregular period, and the mouth herpes that you mentioned on a previous question sounds like she needs a good specialist. And if her doctors just blames it on the patch and doenst look for more alternative then he has to go.

It really sounds like you are worring about her more that she worries herself. Does anyone sees a problem there.

This could be as simple as a prolapsed transverse colon.. allowing for the entrapment of gas..if this has not been ruled out, it can be simply, by getting into the knee chest postion for 15-20 minutes.. gravity will take care of the situation. There are few pains any sharper than distention of the colon.

Should this be the case, you can contact me for further assistance.

She might had an cystic to burst or it could some type of instestine disese such as diverticulitis or a lazy colon. Tell her to go see a doctor because if she wants the pain to stop she needs medical attention.

Well gallbladder attacks which may lead to pancreatitis; either of which cause pain, nausea, and vomiting...what sort of doctor is she seeing? A stomach specialist(not a Gyno) is what she needs...although endrometreosis maybe?? Another doctor is in order; that is all I can say and be sure about it.

It could be ovarian cysts again, possibly ruptured ones, kidney stones, infection, or possibly blood clots.

Although, it really sounds like ovarian cysts. She probably needs an ultrasound to be sure.
