Major Bummer!! Yes, he was annoying and I never really watched his show but I did respect the man. He went all the way in trying to teach the world about animals and to respect the environment. He was a man with a cause and wanted to help make the world a better place. he will be missed.

He may not have been your cup of tea, but let's show some respect for the dead and refrain from calling him "annoying", as least for a week or two.
Actually, he wasn't exactly my cup of tea either. I hardly ever watched him, though I knew who he was. My kids never got into him either. But from all that I've been reading about him the last 2 days, we may have just missed out on something. He was a great conservationist, and passionate about what he did. I feel bad for his family, but if he absolutely had to die, at least he passed on doing something that he loved. This would have been even worse if he had died in a more ordinary way - such as in a traffic accident or of a heart attack.

This gentleman was a defender of wildlife. On that merit alone he is worthy of respect. Let's avoid the use of words such a screepy and annoying to describe this man, especially as we pay tribute to his memory. Personally, I thought he was amusing and gifted.

I am very sad for his children and wife. I hope he was saved. I didn't think he was annoying. I thought he was very good at what he did. He was just too adventurous.

It's a tragedy, but now his message is being played louder than ever before. He would be so happy to hear that everyone is listening now.

It is truly sad, but what's even sadder is the disrespectful people "celebrating" the death of another human being.
