What vehicle is this? It sounds like it could be the parking brake switch, but I'd like more info.

you need to check the fuse for it,,it might have blown on it,,the emergency light switch may have gone bad,,but it still should level it self off good,,check all your fuses,,i think one has blown on it,,good luck,,i hope this help,s.
