I don't live there, I live in Kentucky. But I love Texas and would love to live there. Friendly people who still honor family values; culture and history; Texas pride; geographical diversity and natural beauty; large cities and charming small towns. Texas has at least a sample of everything the world has to offer, all within its boundaries.

To any left-wing loons who think that Texas is awful and full of nothing but Bush-supporting, oil-rigging redneck conservatives, you're wrong. Or, if you can't stand Texas just b/c of Bush, why? Just don't comment! I happen to strongly support Bush and I'm not against big oil, but Texas is so much more once you at least visit and see what is has. (Austin is a pretty liberal city, and Dallas and Houston have growing liberal communities--or communes, should I say. lol.)

TEXAS the most beautiful jewel in the union. The only State that was once an independent republic. The Texas flag is the only flag authorized to fly at the same height as the flag of the united states of america. Everyone on the planet knows about TEXAS. You cant say the same for vermont. Is there another valley as fertile as that of the Rio Grande. Is there a desert more pristine then the steppes of the Davis mountains? Beaches, Mountains, deserts, plains, forests, swamps, canyons. What is there that exists elsewhere that is not represented in Texas. The friendliest people and the prettiest women in the world. There is no place better on the planet. The Bush family is not from TEXAS they are yankees. They claim Texas as an affectation because when Pappa Bush was CIA undercover he ran Zapata Oil out of Houston Texas. Just like people who have souls the Bush family fell in love with the boundless beauty that is the loan star state. Whats the difference between Yankees and Damn yankees? Yankees come down south, Damn Yankees stay. Texas is a little like Heaven. If you don't want to be here...we don't want you.

I was born and raised in Texas. In East Texas in a town called Center, its right on the Louisiana line. I love Texas. Right now I am living in Tennessee and it is just not the same. I love everything about Texas, everything. I miss Texas, the pine trees the people the dirt roads, the everything! I have been to the Dallas state fair, I have been to Austin the Hippie Hollow, that was an experience. I have been to the Houston Zoo, I have been to San Antonio to the Alamo, and to Galveston Island...

I am a proud native born Texas and I can't imagine living anywhere else. We have small towns and huge cities. The best of both worlds is easily within reach. We live in a small town but are close enough to Houston that we can go there when want or need to. You are among those who weren't born in Texas but got there as soon as they could. Ha. Ha.

I live in Texas and have all of my life. I have grown up in the country on farms/ranches. I can't think of living anywhere else.
At the top of the state -- it gets cold and snows-- at the bottom it hardly ever freezes. There is desert, piney woods, miles and miles of beaches, farms, ranches, lots of oil and gas, towns of people who came from other countries and brought the traditions of the old country with them. Country music abounds, but so does rock, pop, and high-brow arts. I love it.
