Yep... I hate it... and bad spelling

My pet hates from this site:-
*People saying "yall";

*People who don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're"; and

*Those who don't know the difference between "here" and "hear"

The really amusing ones are those who write in appalling spelling and grammar to complain that no-one will give them a job... well, would you?

Yes it drives me crazy...I mean I know there are all these cute, hip internet verbage & acronymw but lets get real...do you really speak that way? Does anyone think in abbrevated thoughts? Does it take so much more time to type out a whole word? When I try to use some of those short cuts I feel like I am thinking harder to make sure I have typed the correct letters so I am getting my point across...

Heck I am a spell check freak and have no idea what 1/2 the people are talking about on here...

You are not alone!!!!!

I've noticed it a lot on this site, is our educational system that bad? I know that some people may speak very little English because Yahoo Questions is available all over the world but most of the time I honestly don't think that's the problem. I always hit 'check spelling' before I send my answer and don't understand why everyone can't do that. Some questions are so poorly written that I can't understand what they're asking.

A LOT of the time, ESPECIALLY with Black people in the South (I'm Black by the way)! When most of my people who are natives of the South speak, they sound like the most uneducated Black people in the country. And that's sad! I'm from the South as well, but my grammar isn't as bad as theirs! That's ONE reason why I am embarrassed and regret being born and raised in the South!

definite!! those persons that proceed to apply undesirable grammar and spelling whilst asking or answering questions is a significant frustration for me. the place did they ever learn how to place in writing (ok, sort) like that? It grew to become into in no way something i grew to become into taught in college. And as for the spell verify element, you're suited lower back-this is purely organic lazy mindset. i attempt to study each and all of the questions yet while they're using that internet lingo I often only pass to the subsequent question. i detect that a number of the words are almost impossible for me to come to a decision what they're attempting to assert or ask (could desire to be a demonstration of my age, or some thing). So, definite it does hardship me (each and every each and every now and then probable too lots) yet I only attempt to decipher what's meant via the unusual language getting used.

It irks me too.
I think it's laziness to a point but be careful as it isn't nice to criticize cultural differences.
I come from the Maritime provinces and we have some very interesting hang overs from England,Ireland and Scotland.
Some of the grammatical errors people make (and yes I agree that they should be avoided) are simply very old dialect.
I like people to spell things properly too but we can't always get what we want.

Oh My God YES!!!!!! What is really annoying is bad grammar stemming from a person being to lazy to pronounce a word correctly and not because they simply are uneducated.

Don't care
it's a persons choice 2 decide how they want 2 speak.
Most adults know the "correct" way to speak., however choose not to.
....Now if they barked or some **** like that, that would irk the hell outta ME and my guess would be that they never attended a day of obedience school!
