Steve Irwin deserves the respect he is getting from people all over the world what he did for animal conservation is amazing.

I don't think we'll ever know if the barb would have stayed in his chest he could have lived a little longer. We shouldn't dwell on a what if. We just need to keep supporting the family and friends by posting uplifting messages, and contributing to animal conservation.

There is no possibility of surviving a stingray attack of that magnitude. For one, there was the fact that Steve was stabbed in the heart. For two, the barb on the end of a stingrays tail is extremely poisonous. So essentially, it was not a matter of Steve bleeding out; But of venom being injected into the heart and pumped throughout the bloodstream.

The poison isn't adequate to kill a individual (except you're allergic, like a bee sting). somebody grew to become into stung on the final cruise we've been on, and different than an rather sore ankle she grew to become into basically advantageous. notwithstanding, if he had left the barb in he could have basically had a respectable-sized stingray related to his chest and attempting desperately to wreck out. i think of the battling animal could have torn the barb out and that would have killed him besides. a minimum of this form he pulled it out and swam to the exterior till now he died, so his physique wasn't basically lost at sea invariably.

I don't know the extent of the injury, or the potency of the venom, however it is very possible he would have had a better chance leaving the barb in.

Leaving this barb in would have slowed the bleeding, by pulling to out he also increased the wound size since the barbs act like a serrated knife.

I've wondered that myself. I have heard of people who've gotten something stuck in their chest (actually in the heart) and when they called for help, were told to not pull it out. And they lived. But I must say, it's counter-intuitive to leave a foreign object in place when you A: hurt, B: know it's not good, C: are in shock or D: are panicked.

And, to the nimrod who was peeved about people talking about this, may I remind you that you saw the question, clicked on it and answered it? You didn't have to do that but you did. If you're so sick of it, how bout not pretending to take the high road and actually just take it. Don't foist your timetable for discussion on the rest of us.

There way no way the barb periced his heart. If it had periced him somewhere else then he might have stood a chance. TOu people need to leave this subject alone. Yeah he was/is Famous but it doesnt mean you people should just shut up you want to ask these questions then wait a while if you feel the need this isnt right there where people that knew the man that loved him and just know people are out there are saying crap and asking questions like this doesnt help the pain any. Give it some time then ask your questions. Even if your not saying something that stupid just wait

Something like that happened to Crocodile Dundee in his
first movie and he lived to make 2 more movies. He was
going to make another and of all things, he got ran over by a
Mini Cooper on the L.A. freeway. You never know what kind
of unforeseen tragedy awaits people.

Nope he wouldn't of.
Sadly i think he was a goner before the barb was even removed cuz of the poisons,I just think he was taking his final breaths as the removed it.

no. it's essentially a harpoon basically. that, mixed with it also being posionous left little hope of him surviving either way. plus it going into his chest put the toxin right near his center mass where all the vital organs are.

He might have lived a bit longer, but it was futile. In addition to doing serious damage to his heart that could not be repaired in time, the stinger ejected poison. He was a dead man two different ways.
