I'd like to take the bus down to the local Barnes and Noble to get a book or two but it sucks being stuck in an air conditioned condo when it's 100 degrees outside. It takes 5 min. to walk to the bus stop and it takes another 3 min. or so to walk from the bus/trolley station to B&N.

Should I be careful and go to B&N or should I just forget it and wait until it gets cooler in the week?

why not get the books online, I think B&N have a web site, get them online and they show up at your door. No walking to the trolley or bus, just kick back and relax in sunny San Diego

If you're reasonably healthy, just take your time. Where I live it gets MUCH hotter than that and I walk everywhere. Don't go during the peak heat of the day; go in the morning, or in the late afternoon. If you're worried about it, wear a hat and sunglasses, and carry a water bottle. But a 5 min walk is OK for anyone in good general health.

drink lots of water, carry some for your trip back, wear a brimmed hat and locate the restroom in BN when you get there. Sounds like an exciting afternoon.

Depends on your age, weight & physical condition...
If you are old, fat & out of shape you might want to wait...
