Give everybody a pen and a paper. Each person has to write down two things about themselves that is true, and one thing that is a lie. Don't show anyone. One person reads each one aloud, and the group has to guess who wrote down the three things, and which one is the lie.

I like this one: When guests arrive use a stickie and put a famous person's name, cartoon character, etc. on their back. People then should go up to them with a hint of who it might be, and the person with the stickie has to guess who he/she is. Great ice breaker.

cute game: tape the names of celebrities on the backs of people so they themselves can't see what celebrity they are, but everyone else can see who they are. everyone goes around the room, mingles, asking only yes/no questions to each other to find out who they are.
