why not? i really like men in pink shirts

For a long time, pink has been commonly considered a color for females only, or for gay men, but this wasn't always so. Henry VIII wore pink, for example (although it was called "rose" at the time -- same color, different name), and he certainly couldn't be called gay. In some cultures, it still is a gender-neutral color.
Does anyone besides me remember the 1980s, when lots of 'preppy' guys wore pale pink Oxford shirts or bright pink polo shirts and no one thought anything of it...?

Pink is generally associated with girls - I wouldn't do a baby's room in pink, be it either for a boy or a girl, mostly because I don't like the permanent gender association. If a guy looks good in pink, there's no reason he shouldn't wear a pink shirt. If a guy looks bad in pink, he shouldn't wear it - not because it's pink, but because it doesn't look good on him.

Depending on the shade of pink. You might want to also take into consideration his coloring, skin tone, hair shade,etc. Most boys/men could look very masculine in pink taking in the above mentioned criteria. Men would be willing to wear just about any color if all the criteria were taken into consideration. Just don't try to force it, if he doesn't want to try it the first time...usually you can stroke their egos and they will crumble....

Color does not have a sex. Pink, like blue and any other color can be for both 'guys' and 'girls'.

a color doesn't determine your sex. Every color can be either for women or for men, and the pink fits well to both!
