Bio-Oil® isn't a new product; it has been around for a long time.
I wouldn't say it is any good for scars or stretch marks, it is good for anti-aging as the oils are really good for your skin and great for massaging your face with – they show you how to do it correctly so to help keep your face nice and brand spanking new. I honestly didn't see any results on most of my older scars, but it did help a little with little nicks from shaving on my legs. It's expensive for what it is really.
It's not worth the money, it is very expensive, you can probably use jojoba oil for the same purpose – I use jojoba oil for Oil Cleansing Method (i.e. cleansing my face with oil) and that works well on facial scars so I'd imagine it would have similar effects on any other scars, same with other similar carrier oils such as olive oil (moisturising). Then there are essential oils such as lavender that are quite healing.
I personally would say for scars and stretch marks you are a hell of a lot better off getting yourself some shea butter or coco butter – perhaps blend the two – both are very rich so great for healing scars and moisturising to prevent stretch marks.

I had a car accident a year ago and ended up with an awful scar across my chest from the seat belt. I was told about Bio Oil and was abit hesitant thinking it was just not gonna work. After using it for a month, it virtually healed the scar and it now only shows if I get out in the sun. It's not cheap but it is effective. Depends how quick you want results and what for, but I would swear by it every time.

Actually it does work on scars. i have dog bite scars on my leg and it has faded them considerably. I know it isnt going to get rid of them completely (that is not physicaly possible) but they are fading really well. The only bits that havent faded as much are the holes where the stitches were.
any oil with a decent level of vitamin e will probably do the same i should think.

This product has been out years. From the magazine articles and actual letters sent in (that they use for advertisements).
I have a bottle of it and I just used it when I felt like it, which was not that often. It will not get rid of stretch marks it will make them seem lighter.
I got a bottle from using my Boots points - if you have any saved up you could do the same?

YES it does work, its not an over night miracle but it does fade your stretch marks and other scars over continuous use. I use it morning and night and even put a few drops in my bath.
