Blend a little petroleum jelly with olive oil. Rub it all over your hands and wrap them in cling wrap, place and fold over a hot towel or two until the towels get cold (about 15 mins). Do this continuously for 2 weeks and once the dryness dissipates, use any good topical hand cream you find in your local beauty shop of pharmacy.

Also, try using your hand cream everytime you place your hands in water or wash them and wear gloves when you do dishes and hand laundry.

Try Cutex, it's cheaper than some but brilliant!! I use the anti aging one, it actually did what it said and got rid of a lot of the age spots on the backs of my hands!! I work in a dusty office environment, we make wooden bathroom furniture, so my hands get very dry, I keep a tube of Cutex on my desk and it works very well at keeping the dryness away..

Dream Cream from Lush. You can use it on anything even if you have open cuts or sores on your hands. it's about £8 but lasts ages because you only need a really tiny bit.
