For TOTAL consistency I would say either Jimmie Johnson or Matt Kennseth, However, Kasey Kahne has 5 wins this season (the most of all drivers) He has 5 pole positions, four of his five wins were from the pole, and now he is in contention for a place in the chase with a sweep of the Busch & Nextel races in California this weekend. (Only 30 points out of 10th) This is his third year in Nextel - the first year he won Raybestos Rookie of the year(4 pole positions, 5 second place finishes), 2nd year was a hard one - some people call it the Sophomore slump - but he still had 2 pole positions and his first win at Atlanta. Then this year with a bit of crew rearranging and the help of Team Director Kenny Francis he is the winningest driver this season. It would be a real shame if he didn't make the chase. Personally I think they should just give a spot to the winningest driver then let him compete with the leading points guys. I mean come on you have to give him some credit for winning the most races!

Hands down, it would have to be Matt Kenseth. The guy has won a couple of Cup races and has thrown in a Busch victory to boot. This past weekend, even though he didn't win the race, that team passed Jimmie Johnson to take over the points lead. Things are clicking for the #17 team and they will be tough to beat these remaining eleven races.

Right now, it has to be Matt Kenseth. He's scored the most points of anyone the last few weeks, has won a race and is the current points leader.

Unfortunately I would have to say Matt Kenseth, however, Kasey Kahne had a great weekend didn't he? Jimmie Johnson has seemed to fade away just like last year.

Jeff Gordon. I think him and his team are truly coming back and seem to lately be on FIRE!! woo hoo. hopefully next year he'll win some races to secure his spot in the championships--and win it all. Honestly, other than Gordon, maybe Jimmie Johnson...or Kyle Busch...

even though i dont like him i can see Denny Hamlin winning a lot next year....eh who knows.

Hottest driver (performance wise and overall):JEFF GORDON
you just cant beat my sexy speed racer.

24forever. Hendrick boyssssssssss woo hoo

Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth have been the most consistent, but the chase starts at Loudon which is when everything counts the most!! :)

Kahne and Mat K. They are both running smooth these days. Kahne needs a top ten drive have a bad race to make the chase though. It is going to be tight.
