Do you notice that the repuglicans here attack me. So I think their best answer would be if I was elected president. But none of them said that. And for a second point I didn't mention which corrupt and criminal government, they just took it for granted that I meant the Bush administration. I would sum that up as they also know that this administration is criminal and corrupt. But they will never admit that they are wrong so I guess that is a moot point.

You know what would get most people in this country up in arms? If some agency decided they were going to build a refinery or site a garbage dump or something like that near (not in) their neighborhood you'd really hear about it. If someone was going to convert 50 acres of surplus park land into condos you couldn't get enough police to hold back the crowd. If someone felt that JonBenet's killer was getting away, the crowds would be huge.
You couldn't pay people in the US to worry about what's going on internationally unless it directly affects them. Terrorists blow up some US embassies overseas? No biggie; most people here probably couldn't find their location on a map anyway. Inconvenience them at the airport, then you hear it. Bleeding hearts will go all out to support illegal immigration -- until those illegal immigrants are living in THEIR neighborhoods and attending THEIR schools; then you'll hear about it. Global warming? Just a rumor -- until you get a hotter than usual summer day, then everybody is against it (and of course the hotter than usual day has almost nothing to do with global warming).
Now if you could convince people that international terrorists were behind that new garbage dump in their county or were responsible for JonBenet's kidnapping -- then you'd see people spring into action. But short of having their direct self-interest infringed upon, I don't have much faith that the people of this country will inconvenience themselves enough to even vote, much less protest.

Your argument doesn't make sense, Sir. You might want to do a bit of rewording, or getting rid of the whole thing altogether. Republicans attacking you would definitely mean they do not want YOU in office. Don't you see how they support their president? Secondly, you claim that they merely assume that you were talking about the Bush administration. Let's take a closer look at this, shall we? A government that would be deemed criminal would no doubt be epitomized in that of Sadam Hussein, would it not? We are not protesting that government because he was successfully ousted already. In supporting that we were effectively fighting for it. However, to make such a claim would usually mean anomosity and dissatisfaction towards that party and its incumbant president. Especially since it is on domestic grounds and not foreign that we are NOT fighting. We also expect, especially with the amount of mudslinging in the media and on Yahoo! Answers that democrats generally feel that way about our current president and his administration.
Also, you said to discuss, and they are discussing a particular viewpoint since you were otherwise so vague, taking into the account the above rationale?

Americans have done that many, many times. Not long ago in Bolivia were millions of people went to the streets to protest government corruption and recently in Mexico over the outcome of the elections.

At the rate we're going, Americans will only wake up when it's too late.
The crimminal withholding of information on the acutal realities of American life is controlled by 1 or 2 media conglomerates. Thank God for the internet. Let's see how long that lasts though

I think that's a great point. Everything seems to put me over the edge these days...people seem to care more and more about making things other people do illegal, that makes me mad. But what really makes me mad is minimum wage workers...not being able to support themselves, and the government doing NOTHING about it. I wish I knew about protests...etc. I'd defiantly participate.

I would gladly get up and protest if the government was corrupt and criminal. I would have to agree that certin aspects of it need work, but mostly I find this bland muttering from idiot liberals sickening. You all cry about the government, how it's corrupt, etc, etc. If you don't like it fine, it will change soon enough anyways, but do you constantly have to cry about it? It's SOOOO old....

For the government to say it would give American citizen ship to any illegal alien who made it to United states soil.

First off it would take a criminal and corrupt government. Then they'd have to do something really stupid, like ignore the war declared on us by Islam.
