it depends on the work setting. Is it a formal corporal place or is like Dairy Queen or Burger King place? Most people though give a two weeks notice so it gives the employer enough time to find another worker. Just be nice and collected and everything will be ok.

As of such date I am relinquishing my position and terminating my services to this organisation. Due to circumstaces beyond my control I won't turn up for work and thus led me to resign this position.
