That is really a tough question. It just seems as if the odds are that at least one of those contending for the final eight spots in the Chase will have some sort of trouble. How do you predict who is going to have trouble.
Simply based on performance, right now I would narrow it down to Jeff Burton, Mark Martin, or Tony Stewart not making the Chase. Those three teams seems to be struggling a little bit in comparison to the other teams contending.

Even if Kasey doesn't have the perfect race this weekend (win and lead the most laps), the odds are one of the bottom 5 will most likely have some type of bad luck. Being a short track, though, anything can happen. With the results of qualifying, I'd say that Jr. and Smoke are in the most precarious positions since starting at the rear means you start out 1/2 to 3/4 of a lap down and are more likely to get caught up in a wreck.

I'm thinking that Jeff Burton may not make the Chase this season. He has slipped and Kasey has cut down the points that he needs to get in to like 34 points.

I think it will be Tony.( I'm not a hater),I just have not been overly impressed with his racing the last couple of weeks. There is only 45 points seperateing him and Kasey. And Kahne has been on a roll as of late.I also think he is more hungry for the chase than Stewart is right now, and it is going to bite Tony in the a-s-s.

Well, as of right now there are only 11 people that have a possibility of bein in the chase, 2 of them are already locked in........but.......my guess would be Jeff Burton won't make it,....but the bottom few are so close, it just depends on what happens, anything is possible.

i don't think that mark martin, jeff burton or tony stewart will make it into the chase this year. eventhough 2 out of 3 of my favorite drivers are in the chase, i still hope kasey makes it in instead of martin but on the other hand martin has been cheated out of championships before by earhardt sr. so martin really needs to win this championship. but i KNOW that MATT KENSETH is going to WIN the nextel CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR

I don't know if Mark Martin will make it. There is the possibility that if Kenseth and Johnson struggle, there would be the possibility of 11 drivers fitting in the 300 point window. Richmond will be a very interesting race.
