It's not about guts. It is about right and wrong. I am ex-military and volunteered to come out of the IRR for the Gulf War because I believed in that cause.
Also, what are you talking about abandoning FDR?

Maybe Democrats need a valid reason to wage wars. Waging a war isn't about guts, It's about righting a wrong of great magnitude.
We had a valid reason to wage a war, unfortunately, we have disgraced ourselves by fighting the wrong people for the wrong reasons. Even worse, we were tricked into supporting based on false information and lies, yet we remain fighting. If that's what you mean by guts, than perhaps democrats are gutless then.

The real question is, why are Republicans such warmongers? Why is war the FIRST result?
It's inaccurate to say that Democrats don't have the guts to fight wars. They supported the Afghanistan invasion, and have not backed away from that. They supported the Iraq war, but backed away from that when it turned out that it was fought on false pretenses. AND when the conduct of the post-invasion period turned out to be incompetent.
If we are ever invaded (and Iraq DID NOT attack us on 9/11) Democrats will support it. Democrats shame themselves when they support ill-conceived preventive (speculative) wars, and the Republicans are disgraced by not even having the decency to be embarrassed by the Iraq fiasco. Instead all they do is malign Democrats with more patented Republican LIES. You are their parrot.

Are you trying to say that since Democrats don't agree with Bush's war in Iraq that they have no guts to fight any war when necessary?
Are you paying attention to the arguments that oppose this administrations policy toward Iraq? Not that you have agree with the opposition, but if you were informed you probably would not have asked this illogical question.

they are too busy fixing all the things that the republicans screwed up over here, while they werepaying too much attention to over there.there are plenty of problems to take care of at home, before we start worrying about others. tribs and, clans in the middle eastern countries have been warring for thousands of years and, will continue to do so. lets take care of our own first.
