Are you trying to be sarcastic? If so, you did a poor job of getting across your real point.
First, the text you quoted is from the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution. The Declaration is not a legal document and has no bearing on our laws.
Second, the Constitution does not specifically mention abortion, so it is up to the states to regulate (as stated in the 10th Amendment that all things not specifically enumerated in the Constitution are left to the states).
Third, using your absurd and twisted logic is actually an argument in favor of banning abortion. If all men are created equal, then all men have the right not to be killed. Humans are humans, they are not tapeworms or parasites (common sense as well as DNA prove this beyond any doubt). Therefore, if all humans are equal, regardless of whether they live in your body, in your house, or in the street, then you do not have the right to kill them without just cause.

You know I don't have any particular opinion regarding abortion, but your post makes me want to adopt one. As for the Constitution, you get the prize for one of the most gross misrepresentation I have seen all day. The statement "all men are created equal" is prefaced with "regardless of race, color, creed or religion", and is contained in the Declaration of Independence. That aside, how you managed to read into that the right to have an abortion is beyond me. I have found no section in the Constitution granting or denying the right to abortion, but if you want to support abortion constitutionally, you are going to have to do alot better than that. Yes, we do hold these truths to be self evident!

We understand that the Constitution prohibits judges from legislating. We understand that the Constitution states that all powers NOT specifically allocated to the federal government reside in the states.
Judges can not add what they think should be in the document. We want judges that can read. Most liberals can not or will not. The Constitution is not a living document. Let's get judges that that tell legislatures what they must pass off the bench!
There is a goal that all that love the Constitution can get behind.

Well for starters you are quoting the Declaration of Independence. The US Constitution starts "We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
I Agree though that so far the Republicans in power have spit upon and disgraced the U.S. Constitution that President Bush, the biggest violator, swore to uphold and defend.
informan1:: for your judges remark I say it isn't just liberals..conservative judges did same thing when liberals were in power....Judge has to go by letter of law and interpret it as best fits the spirit of the law and American values of justice.
Everyone gets mad at the "activist" judges, ignoring that their WHOLE job is to check the executive and legislative branch from following crazy fads by MAKING the other 2 branches of government follow the laws it has passed. A good example is the MA decision legalizing gay-marriage...everything in law says we will not discriminate but then US does discriminate by saying they cannot get married...it is challanged and court rules..as court must wait for lawsuit b4 they can act (a check on the judges)..then people say it is wrong because it was not voted on...did we need a vote to legalize interracial marriages? No. Did we need a vote to desegragate society? No..Court made a ruling and people may not have been happy but accepted it..that was the judges' job..to ensure the minority is not trampled by the majority..and every time they dom their job they are held up as "activist" judges. How about before you yell about the judges you go yell at the legislature to make a specific law the judges are bound to follow?

Republicans do know the Constitution very well!
Those who know do - Those who don't Teach!
You will look smarter if you study the Constitution
a little before you teach.
The more the world turns the more nuts it collects.
Whoever started this question probably believes he
is a "monkey's Cousin" for sure.

Kool aid alert!!! Why do you people keep trying to take away our right to bear arms then?.Liberal activist supreme court justices drop acid before making decisions on cases. That is what i believe happened in the 1973 Roe v Wade decision. If it were a privacy and choice issue,we would be allowed by law to smoke crack in the privacy of our home ,by choice, with our body.

Or if say your mother want a very late term abortion for you then that's ok too,

Wow, it is hard to pick a starting point at where to start criticizing this question. Your logic is flawed, your comparison is irrelevant and your spelling and grammar warrant having one of your teachers drug out into the street and shot.
You are welcome to your opinion. Whether abortion is right or wrong is a worthy question for debate but you are giving the choice side a black eye with this ill-conceived blabber.

Aren't you quoting the Declaration of Independence there?
Which largely defeats your argument about other people not knowing about the Constitution. Sorry.
{PS} I agree somewhat with your premise. But you're really not helping the argument with the way you are presenting it.
