First, any electrical current that gets introduced into a human body from any outside source can indeed affect the body's electrical system (heart, brain, nerves, etc).

Second, a cattle prod typically passes the voltage from one probe on it's tip end to another probe, so the voltage only travels a short distance, not all the way through the body. So, it creates a local "pain" and not a whole-body shock, so it doesn't go through the cow's (or person's) heart.......similar to a two-dart Taser or stun gun.

No matter what, it's not a good idea, so don't fool around with ANY SORT of electricity.....it's always a combination of the voltage (could be low), the current (could be high or low) and the resistance (e.g. when dry or wet).....even low voltage can kill.

BUT WAIT....can a cattle prod cause great bodily harm to humans? YES, when you use on on the cattle and the cattle then kicks you in the head...sure.

Cattle prods deliver a sharp jolt of electricity. This can cause irregular heartbeat and possibly a heart attack in people with a bad heart.

Zimmerman replaced right into a ways heavier. A 2005 police record positioned his weight at 250 pounds. A 40 to 50 lbs distinction is a huge even as it contains scuffling with if Zimmerman is truly one hundred ninety lbs

Well, they hurt like crazy and most of them carry one shock after the last time you used it. We put it on a steel pipe without pressing the button to release the last shock before we put them up for the day. The only time we use them is to load cattle in a truck or trailer, if you use them while pushing them on foot you're asking for a kick in the head, belly, or lower!
